RECOVERY & SPORTS MASSAGE
A qualified and fully insured Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist.
My original diploma is from Scotland’s renowned Western School of Massage where I now assist with student tutoring. I enjoyed time working as part of the team at the Hampden Sports Clinic before establishing AL-OUT Performance and Recovery.
I am qualified in Medical Acupuncture, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation), Osteopathic Articulation Techniques, and Functional Integrated Cupping therapy.

Every massage client is individual, but I will always undergo a thorough consultation process and agree a treatment plan upfront which could draw on a range of techniques depending on the needs of the client. In addition to the sports and remedial massage therapy, I am able to offer the following skills:
Sports + remedial massage
Almost all of my treatments will involve some element of traditional massage. Remedial and sports massage is a great way to tackle soft tissue injuries, muscle tension/ knots, range of movement and flexibility.
Sports massage can help to prevent muscular and tendinous injuries, support healing of acute injuries, aids consistency in training to improve sporting performance.
Cupping
An alternative therapy often used by those who practice traditional Chinese medicine, that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction.
It is a relatively common practice today to help with pain management and sports rehabilitation, as the suction is thought to enhance blood flow, healing and help reduce pain and inflammation.
Osteopathic Articulation
Osteopathic articulation involves the mobilisation and manipulation of joints. It is a manual therapy that can be helpful in easing musculoskeletal pain, hypertonic muscles, osteoarthritic joint changes or decreased range of movement. It can restore movement and decrease pain to your affected joints by the use of slow, low-level manipulation to the problem areas, working within your pain-free range of movement, so as not to cause further discomfort.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM)
This technique uses surgical grade steel tools to mechanically stimulate soft tissue, helping to detect and treat muscular pain and soft tissue dysfunction/myofascial restriction.
It works by effectively breaking down any adhesions, scar tissue and fascial restrictions by applying the appropriate amount of pressure to the affected area using specifically designed stainless steel tools.
Medical Acupuncture (Dry Needling)
Medical acupuncture is an adaptation of Chinese acupuncture that involves the insertion of very fine, sterile needles into sites of the body to encourage pain relief and healing and self-repair.
It is usually combined with other massage and mobilisation techniques, but the needles can help release pain relieving endorphins which aid the body's natural healing process. As well as helping to relieve pain, it can also help to improve physical and emotional well-being.
